IS 3451 : Part 1 : 1978 Code of Practice for Care and Maintenance of Brushes - Part I : Pan Set Brushes

1. Scope

1.1 This standard lays down the practices to be followed in the care and maintenance of pan set brushes using bristles, animal hair, vegetable fibre and synthetic fibres like nylon monofilament, covered under the following Indian Standard specifications:

IS: 384-1971 Brushes, paints and varnishes, flat ( third revision)

IS: 486-1973 Brushes, sash tool, for paints and varnish ( second revision)

IS : 487-1976 Brushes, paints and varnishes, (i) ova l, ferrule bound, (ii) round , ferrule bound ( second revision )
