IS 3594 : 1991 Code of practice for fire safety of industrial buildings:General storage and warhousing including cold storage

1 Scope

1.1 This code covers the essential requirements of fire safetyof all godowns, warehouses and outdoor storage sites forming partof chemical process, industrial transportation and such othercomplexes and those rented or owned by public and privatewarehousing bodies or individuals.

1.2 This code also covers the essential requirements of firesafety of cold storage buildings.

Note - The provisions of this Code are to be regarded assupplementary to the provisions laid down under Indian PetroleumRules and Indian Explosive Rules in case of materials to whichthose rules are applicable.
