IS 3597 : 1998 Methods of test for concrete pipes

1 SCOPE

This standard covers methods for carrying out the followingtests on concrete pipes, both reinforced concrete and prestressedconcrete and of pressure and non-pressure types to evaluate theproperties stipulated in the relevant Indian Standards:

a) Three-edge bearing test,

b) Absorption test,

c) Hydrostatic test,

d) Permeability test, and

e) Straightness test.
