IS 3689 : 2025 Textiles - Yarn Count Systems for Designating Linear Density
1 SCOPE
1.1 This standard defines the various yarn count systems and provides factors and formulae for conversion of yarn count systems into tex system and vice versa.
1.2 Tables for inter-conversion of values in traditional count systems and tex system has been given in Annex A.
1.3 The procedure for obtaining rounded values of tex based on ISO 1144 has been given in Annex B.
