1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard (Part 1) lays down the safety requirements for the erection, use and dismentling of scaffolds for providing access and for supporting workmen, equiplnent and materials for any construction work including maintenance, repairs and demolition.

1.2 The requirements of the various components of the scaffold, the care in their use and storage are also covered.
