NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 4) (Fourth Revision) which is identical with ISO 125 : 2020 ‘Natural rubber latex concentrate - Determination of alkalinity’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation(s) of the Methods of Test for Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was published in 1966 as IS 3708 (Part I) and revised in 1985 and published as IS 3708 (Part 4) as part of NRL series of IS 3708 comprising of 11 parts. In the first revision, assistance was drawn from ISO 125 : 1983. Consequent upon revision of the ISO Standard, the Indian Standard was also revised for the second time in 2009, completely aligning it with ISO 125 : 2003. Third revision was carried out to align it with the latest version of ISO 125 : 2011.
