This Indian Standard (Part 1) (Second Revision) which is identical with IEC 60027-1 : 1992 ‘Letters symbols to be used in electrical technology - Part 1: General’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Basic Electrotechnical Standard and Power Quality Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
