1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements for hot-rolled steelflats intended to be used for the manufacture of laminated springsfor railway rolling stock.

1.2 Steel ingots, billets and blooms conforming to IS 8052 :1990 may be used for the production of steel flats conforming tothis Indian Standard.
