IS 392 : 1989 Textiles - Determination of water absorbption and penetration of fabrics using Bundesmann type apparatus

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes a method for determination of water repellency,resistance to wetting (in term of water absorbed) and resistance to penetrationby water (in terms of water penetrated) of fabrics by the Bundesmann typeapparatus.

1.1.1 It is primarily applicable to woven or non-woven water repellentfabrics that are permeable to air.
