IS 397 : Part 4 : 2022/ISO 7870-4 : 2021 Methods for Statistical Quality Control during Production - Part 4 Cumulative Sum Charts

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 4) (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 7870-4 : 2021 ‘Control charts — Part 4: Cumulative sum charts’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Statistical Methods for Quality and Reliability Sectional Committee and approval of the Management and Systems Division Council.

This standard was previously published in 2018 which was identical with ISO 7870-4 : 2011. The third revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 7870-4 : 2021.

The major changes in this revision are as follows:

a) Manhattan diagram removed (former 6.7);

b) V-mask types in Types of CUSUM decision schemes reduced to one V-mask; and

c) von Neumann method removed (former Annex A).
