1 SCOPE

1.1 This standard (Part 6) covers the requirements of special aluminum alloy stranded conductors having lesser resistivity than the aluminum alloy specified in IS 398 (Part 4).

1.2 This standard specifies the requirement of special alloy conductors with specified dimensions and including number of wires, but can also be applied to differently constructed conductors.

1.3 Unless otherwise specified the testing procedure shall be similar to IS 398 (Part 4).
