1.1 This guide outlines the basic information intended for theuse of a physician with regard to the definition/classification ofpesticides, routes of entry in the body, first-aid measures,supportive therapy, specific chemical antidotes, signs and symptomsof poisoning, diagnosis and treatment of different groups ofpesticides, preventive measures in relation to poisoning due todifferent types of pesticides and their formulation during theirmanufacture, testing or in the field of application.
