1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 1) prescribes the constructional details and other particulars of scoured, bleached or dyed cotton rib-knitted briefs. Rib-knitted fabric shall be 1 × 1 with single or two threads. 1.2 This standard does not prescribe the general appearance, shape, lustre, shade and feel of the briefs (see also 5.4).
