IS 4180 : 1967 Code of practice for corrosion protection of light gauge steel sections used in building

1 Scope

1.1 The recommendations given in this code apply to light gaugecomponents for general building purposes fabricated from mild steelsheet or strip as specified.

1.2 The recommendations refer to mild steel reduced by coldrolling and having thickness varying between 2 to 3.2 mm. They arenot intented to heavy structural steel work. The recommendationsalso apply to steel tubes used for construction purposes.
