IS 4327 : 1967 Electric fans and regulators for use in ships

1 scope

1.1 This standard specifies the requirements and methods oftests for electric motor operated propeller fans of the cabin andceiling type and their associated regulators for use onsingle-phase ac and dc circuits not exceeding 250 volts, intendedfor air circulation in living spaces in ships.

1.2 This standard does not cover fans used for air intake andexhaust.

1.3 This standard also does not apply to fans for use inhazardous locations where it may be necessary to have flameproofenclosures (see IS 2148-1962).
