IS 4349 : 1987 Specification for Cylindrical Setting Masters

1 Scope

Covers dimensions and requirements of cylindrical settingmasters so designed that they may be supported between centres.

Note - Cylindrical setting masters are used as standards forsetting instruments that are used in the measurement of plaindiameters, tapers, screw thread diameters, lengths, etc, in thesize range of 3 to 300 mm diameter. The specification basicallycovers requirements of masters where reference to centres isessential for the purpose of measurement but these masters can alsobe used for applications where centres are not required.
