NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 22915-2 : 2008 ‘Industrial trucks - Verification of stability - Part 2: Counterbalanced trucks with mast’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Transport Tractors, Trailers and Industrial Trucks Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1967 and then revised in 1974. In 2004 second revision of this standard was undertaken to align it with ISO 1074 : 1991. Subsequently ISO 1074 : 1991 was withdrawn and published as ISO 22915-2 : 2008. The third revision has been undertaken to harmonize the standard with ISO 22915-2 : 2008.

The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions and terminologies are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
