NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 6) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 6803 : 2017 ‘Rubber or plastics hoses and hose assemblies - Hydraulic-pressure impulse test without flexing’ issued by the Internationa l Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Methods of Test for Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee had been approved by the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2019, which was identical with ISO 6803 : 2017 under dual numbering system.

The Committee responsible for the formulation of the standard decided to modify the common title of all the Indian Standards under IS 443 series as ‘Methods of test for rubber and plastics - tubing, hoses and hose assemblies’ for the uniformity in the title in line with the ISO Standards and being revised to mainly modify title of the standard.
