1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 3) covers the requirements of handoperated geared treatment ladles (both taper and straight sidedshell) suitable for S.G. iron foundries in the following two types.Treatment ladles shall be of lip-pouring and tea-spout pouring typeas shown in Fig. 1 and 2.

1.1.1 Plunging Ladles

These ladles can be either open top or covered as shown in Fig.3.

1.1.2 Sandwich Ladles

These ladles also can be either open top or covered as shown inFig. 4.
