IS 4519 : 1977 Dimensions for copper commutator bars

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies dimensions for copper commutatorbars over 6 mm in width and up to and including 18 mm thick inwhich the inclination of the two surfaces is constant throughoutthe width.

1.1.1 The bars may be in random lengths, in exact specifiedmultiples of lengths for subsequent cutting, or as plain or shapedsegments of specified lengths for assembly. The surface at thethick or thin edge may be radiused or flat.

1.1.2 This standard also includes tables of preferred widths forcommutator bars and details of methods of checking dimensions.
