IS 4681 : 1981 Method for determination of recovery from creasing of textile fabrics by measuring the angle of recovery

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes a method for determination of crease recovery offabrics by determining the angle of recovery after the removal of creasingforce. The method is especially intended for apparel fabrics.

1.2 This method is not very suitable for weft knitted fabrics as well as limpor very thick fabrics, or fabrics having tendency to curl, since these factorsinfluence the test results to an unacceptable degree.
