IS 4682 : Part 4 : 1998 Code of practice for lining of vessels and equipment for chemical processes Part 4 Lining with Sheet Thermoplastics

1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 4) specifies requirements for the liningof equipment for the process industries using sheet thermoplastics.

1.1.1 It includes requirements for the choice of lining and itsapplication. It also includes requirements for inspection of thelining and the rectification of faults. It applies to equipmentfabricated in metal or concrete and to both bonded and looselinings.

Note - The linings may be applied at the applicators works oron site.

1.1.2 Requirements for design and fabrication of the equipmentand the state of preparation, necessary for the surfaces to belined, are specified.

1.1.3 Requirements for storage, handling, transportation andinstallation of the lined equipment are also specified.
