NATIONAL FOREWORD

This draft standard (Third Revision) which is identical to ISO 4490 : 2018 ‘Metallic powders - Determination of flow rate by means of a calibrated funnel (Hall flowmeter)’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Powder Metallurgical Materials and Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1968 and subsequently revised in 1984 and 2006. The Third revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 4490 : 2018 in dual numbering system to harmonize it with latest developments that have taken place at international level. In this revision, the title of ISO standard has been retained, as it is an identical standard.
