IS 4871 : 1968 Method for determination of lint and trash content of cotton by means of mechanical - pneumatic machines

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes a method for determination of lint and trashcontent of cotton fibres by means of mechanical-pneumatic machines. The methodis applicable to cotton taken from bales, laps, slivers or other sources of lint cotton.

1.1.1 The method may also be used for analysing the waste removed bydifferent machines for the lint and trash content.
