1 SCOPE
This standard (Part 2) lays down the method for the laboratory testing of wood preservatives against borers (powder post beetles) by exposing the wood/ bamboo samples to both adult and larvae of test insects or keeping them along with material infested with powder post beetles in the laboratory. The test can also be employed to determine the natural durability of different species of wood/bamboo.
