1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 7) covers the general requirements and design of steel lining of tunnels for conveyance of water from reservoirs to hydraulic turbines in hydro-power plants or vice versa in case ofreversible pump turbines in pumped storage schemes or for other similar installations.

1.2 This Code does not cover the design of specials like manifolds, wye-piece, transitions, etc.
