IS 4890 : 1968 Methods for Measurement of Suspended Sediment in Open Channels

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the methods and techniques ofmeasurement and the instruments used in the estimation of suspendedsediment load in open channels, where the flow is uni-directional.This excludes the direct methods of measurement (for which specialinstruments are necessary) and they will be covered in a separatestandard.
