1. Scope

This Code recommends measures that should be adopted to prevent or minimize the exposure to ionizing radiation in a radiochemical laboratory handling small amounts of radioactive materials. It describes important characteristics of radioactive materials, nature of hazards, design requirements of laboratories and other essential information for protection against radiation.
