1. SCOPE

This standard prescribes the requirements for grading of “Plantation White Sugar and Refined Sugar” manufactured by the vacuum pan process and the methods for grading such sugars on the basis of their grain size and colour in case Plantation White Sugar and particle size and International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA) colour units in case of refined sugar.
