1. Scope

1.1 This standarde lays down the requirements for polythlene (PE) pipes (mains and service pipes) intended for the conveyance of water for human consumption including raw water prior to treatment and also water for general porpose.

1.2 This standard is applicable for the water supplies with a maximum operating pressure of 2.0 MPa.

1.3 An operating temperature of 27ºC has been taken as the reference temperature.
