IS 504 : 1963 Methods of Chemical Analysis of Aluminium and its Alloys

1 SCOPE

1.1 This standard prescribes the methods for determination ofsilicon, lead, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, magnesium, nickel,chromium, tin, antimony; and titanium in the ranges as prescribedin the relevant Indian Standard specifications on aluminium and itsalloys.

1.2 Different procedures have been recommended for differentranges of the same constituents. Also, modifications in theprocedures have been recommended in case of those methods whereinterference due to certain elements is definite.
