This Indian Standard (Part 8) which is identical with IEC 61169-8 : 2007 ‘Radio-frequency connectors - Part 8: Sectional specification - RF coaxial connectors with inner diameter of outer conductor 6,5 mm (0,256 in) with bayonet lock - Characteristic impedance 50 O (type BNC)’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electromechanical Components and Mechanical Structures for Electronic Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
