1 scope

1.1 This standard specifies requirements for wrought aluminiumand aluminium alloy bars, rods, tubes, sections, plates and sheetsfor electrical applications, prescribing their chemicalcomposition, mechanical properties and electricalresistivity/conductivity.

1.1.1 This standard is applicable to:

a) extruded bars and rods above 6 mm diameter; extruded angles,channels, other sections and profiles including tubes, hollowsections of thickness, 3 mm and above.

b) rolled - plates, sheets of 3 mm and above thickness.
