IS 5177 : 1985 Specification for Jute Lines and Ropes

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements of hawser-laid(3-strand) jute:

a) lines of diameter 2 to 7 mm and with linear density from 6.4to 34 kilotex; and

b) ropes of diameter 8 to 48 mm and with linear density from 46to 1 658 kilo tex.
