1. SCOPE

This standard (Part 24) prescribes the method for measurement of the mass concentration of particulate matter (PM2.5) in ambient air based on the principle of segregation of non-PM2.5 particles from the air stream followed by filtration and gravimetric determination of PM2.5 mass on the filter substrate.
