This Indian Standard (Part 17) which is identical with ISO 13782: 1996 `Implants for surgery - Metallic materials - Unalloyedtantalum for surgical implant applications issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted bythe Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Orthopaedic Instruments and Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of theMedical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.
