1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard applies to three phase, 50 Hz turbine type generators having rated outputs of 3 MVA and above for 3 000 rpm and 1 MVA and above for 1 500 rpm respectively. For basic requirements for rotating electrical machines reference shall be made to IS 4722 : 1992.
