NATIONAL FOREWORD

This standard (Second Revision) which is identical to ISO 3252 : 2019 ‘Powder metallurgy - Vocabulary’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Powder Metallurgical materials and Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1969 and subsequently revised in 1982. The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align with the latest version of ISO 3252: 2019 in dual numbering system to harmonize it with latest developments that have taken place at international level.
