1. SCOPE

1.1 This Indian Standard lays down the method for testing oil-fired rotary aggregate dryers of both continuous and batch types, and for reporting the results as given in Annex B.

1.2 Recommended test conditions corresponding to the requirements in the manufacture of dense asphaltic concrete and bituminous macadam are also included for use when special test conditions are not laid down, and as a basis upon which manufacturers may declare the output of dryers.
