1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part II) gives guidance to all concerned withthe design, construction, use or maintenance of equipment usingsemiconductor diodes so that optimum device performance and lifemaybe secured.

1.1.1 This standard should be used in conjunction with IS: 5469 ( Part I )-1969* which is a necessary adjunct to this standard
