IS 5557 : 2004 Industrial and Protective Rubber Knee and Ankle Boots - Specification

1 Scope

This standard prescribes requirements, methods of sampling andtest for industrial and protective rubber boots reinforced withprotective steel toe caps for use in mines as well as for workmenin heavy metal industries and where the floor is covered withwater, chemicals, oil, grease, waxes, lubricants etc.

This standard is not intended to cover boots for protectionagainst electrical shocks.
