IS 5578 : 1984 Guide for marking of insulated conductors

1 Scope

1.1 This standard applies to the marking of insulated conductorsused in industrial installations and the equipment which forms partof them, except insulated conductors constituting the terminals ofelectrical apparatus (for example, rotating machines ortransformers).

1.2 It applies only to other installations and equipment (forexample, telecommunication circuits or circuits in eludingtelecommunication equipment) when reference is made to them.
