IS 5599 : 1999 Rubber - Raw, Natural and Synthetic - Methods for Sampling and Sample Preparation

1 Scope

This standard prescribes the method for the sampling of rawrubber in bales, blocks or packages and further procedure carriedout on those samples to prepare test portions for chemical andphysical tests. It specifies the number of tests that should bemade for each characteristic and lays down the criteria forascertaining the conformity of the material in a lot to therequirements specified for the characteristics. A diagram showingthe sequence of operations in sampling and further preparation isgiven in Annex A.
