This Indian Standard (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 2738 : 1987 `Permeable sintered metal materials - Determination of density, oil content, and open porosity', issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Powder Metallurgical Materials and Products Sectional Committee (MTD 25), and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.
