IS 5711 : 1970 Vulcanized fibre rods and tubes for electrical purposes

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers vulcanized fibre rods of circularsection from 5 mm up to and including 25 mm diameter and tubes of circular section from 10 mm up to and including 50 mm internal diameter with wall thickness from 1 mm up to and including 10 mm.

Note : Tubes up to 100 mm internal diameter are normally manufactured. The test methods and values for tubes of diameter greater than 50 mm should be agreed between the supplier and the purchaser.
