This Indian Standard (Part 12) which is identical with ISO 5397 : 1984 ‘Leather — Determination of nitrogen content and “hide substance” — Titrimetric method’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Leather Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.
