This Indian Standard (Part 3), which is identical with ISO 6579: 1993 `Microbiology - General guidance on methods for thedetection of Salmonella' issued by the International Organizationfor Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of IndianStandards on the recommendation of the Food Microbiology SectionalCommittee (FAD 46) and approval of the Food and AgricultureDivision Council.
