NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Fourth Revision) which is identical to ISO 3861 : 2021 'Rubber hoses and hose assemblies for sand and grit blasting - Specification' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

The second revision of this standard was published in 2005 under dual numbering with ISO 3861: 1995 and subsequently revised in 2018 under dual numbering with ISO 3861 : 2005

This revision has been brought out to align with the ISO 3861 : 2021 in dual numbering system to make pace with latest developments that have taken place at international level.

The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions and terminologies are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
