1 Scope

1.1 This standard Covers tests and requirements for fixedcapacitors designed essentially for dc with a rated voltage notexceeding 6300 V, using a dielectric of impregnated paper andelectrodes of foil, and intended for use in equipment fortelecommunication and similar other electronic devices.

1.1.1 This standard does not cover metallized paper capacitorsnor capacitors used for radio interference suppression.

1.2 Dimensional requirements of the capacitors are not includedin this standard.
