NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Second Revision) which is modified adoption of ISO 9873:2019 ‘Dentistry - Intra-oral mirrors’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Dentistry Sectional Committee and after approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1970 and then revised in 2003 to align its requirement withISO 9873 : 1998. This second revision has been taken up with a view to align this standard with the latest ISO Standard in order to incorporate the current practices being followed at the international level. After publication of this standard, IS 6020 : 2003 shall be treated as withdrawn.
